Renter's qualification / Vehicle collection

Be over 23* years of age to qualify for the groups Mini, Economy, Super Economy Mini Elite, Medium size, Medium size auto and have a valid driving license issued at least one year ago. For all other car groups, the renter must be over 25 years old and have a valid driving license issued at least 3 years ago, Greek, European or International  The renters aged between 21-22 will be subject to Young Drivers Surcharge by paying the amount of 20€ daily

Have a personal credit card (third party credit cards are not accepted) If the renter does not hold a credit card, he can rent a car from the following groups: Mini, Economy, Super Economy, Mini Elite, Medium size, Medium size auto provided he has paid the whole rental value as well as the guarantee deposit as following: for car groups Mini, Economy, Super Economy, Medium size, Medium size auto 450€ and for car groups Compact, Mini Elite 650€. For all other groups credit card is required. 

 When collecting the vehicle, the renter will be given a Rental Agreement which has to check and sign. The Rental Agreement will show all services and insurances provided as well as any extra services/insurances that the renter might request with their relevant charges. It is very important that the renter checks and reports any means of damages on the vehicle.  Renter pays for the fuel

Insurance

 All BookMyCar.gr vehicles are insured:

a) Against liability to third parties (excluding driver) for death and injury up to 750.000€ per victim b) material damages to third parties (excluding the BookMyCar.gr vehicle) up to 750.000€  c) for fire of the BookMyCar.gr vehicle 

Note:  If the BookMyCar.gr vehicle is damaged or stolen by renter's culpability or negligence, the renter will be liable, up to the total car's commercial value at the time of accident or theft. 

Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.) (Included)

 All BookMycar.gr vehicles are insured for Collision Damage Waiver. The Renters Responsibility is a) up to 1500€ for car groups Mini, Economy, Super Economy b) up to 1700€ for car groups Mini Elite, Medium size, Medium size auto c) up to 1900€ for car groups Compact, Compact Auto, Standard, Station Wagon d) up to 2000€ for car groups 4X4 open top, Premium e) up to 2200€ for car groups Full size, MiniVan, SUV, SUV Auto.

Collision Damage Waiver Reduce (C.D.W.) (Optional)

The Renters may reduce the responsibility to a) up to 380€ for car groups Mini, Economy, Super Economy b) up to 550€ for car groups Mini Elite, Medium size, Medium size auto c) up to 780€ for car groups Compact, Compact Auto, Standard, Station Wagon d) up to 1000€ for car groups 4X4 open top, Premium e) up to 1200€ for car groups Full size, MiniVan, SUV, SUV Auto.

Full Damage Waiver (F.D.W.) (Optional)

The renter may waive the above deductible amount reliability by paying in the additional amount of 7€ per day.

Note: None of the above insurances cover damages caused by violation of the Greek traffic law, as well as damages to tires, mirrors, windscreens, car parts underneath the vehicle and in the cabin.

Third Party Insurance (Included)

BookMyCar.gr vehicles are insured against damages to third party cars up to 750000€

Personal Accident Insurance(Included)

BookMyCar.gr vehicles passengers are insured for personal accident up to 15000€

Fire and Theft Insurance(Included)

BookMyCar.gr vehicles are insured against fire and theft insurance up to 3000€

Wheels and Glasses Cover (WGC) (Optional)

Covers damages to wheels, rims and windscreens with an additional 4€ per day.

Loss or damage of key:

In case of loss or damage of car key during the rental, the renter is liable for following charges: 60, € for car groups Mini, Economy, Super Economy 100€ for car groups Mini Elite, Medium size, Medium size auto, 4X4 open top  200€ for car groups Compact, Compact Auto, Standard, Station Wagon, Premium, Full size, MiniVan, SUV, SUV Auto.

Car Relocation/Ferrying/One way Rentals

The cars are not allowed to be ferried. Renting a car in an island and returning in another is not allowed. However, it is possible to pick up the car from one of our location in an island and return it in another location.

Equipment / Additional Extras

Child seat: 3€ / daily (Maximum charge 25€)

Baby seat: 2€ / daily  (Maximum charge 20€)

Navigation System (GPS): 7€ / daily (Maximum charge 45€)

Additional Driver: 3€ / daily

Young Driver Surcharge (21-22): 20€ / daily

Delivery/Collection (Between 23:59 – 07:59): 25€ per delivery or collection

Delivery /Collection to hotels : 10€ per delivery or collection

Fuel Policy:

Fuel is paid by the renter and it is not included in the rental rate nor can be refunded. Cars are delivered 1/4 and returned 1/4. If the renter wishes, cars can be delivered full and returned empty with the additional amount paid locally according to the petrol rate and tank capacity.

BookMyCar.gr in Greece accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard

Above mentioned rates include V.A.T. 23%(Crete, Santorini) or 13%(Rhodes-Kos).

All traffic fines resulting from violation of the Greek traffic law are for renter's account. Rates & Conditions may change without notice. The Heraklion Courts of Law are responsible for resolving any problems or doubts of service that might occur.
